Florida woman loses leg in gator attack

A 90-year-old Florida woman is recovering in hospital after she was saved from the jaws of an alligator by her neighbor. Margaret was taken by the eight-foot gator as she walked by the canal near her Copeland home. Neighbor Dwain Daniels was driving by when he saw the croc trying to drag her into the water. He grabbed his .22 rifle and shot the gator before rescuing Webb. She was taken to hospital where her lower left leg was amputated. A search failed to find the gator, which is presumed dead.
