New aircraft carrier to be named USS JFK

The US's next aircraft carrier will be named the John F. Kennedy. The second Gerald R. Ford-class supercarrier will be 335 meters long and will feature advanced technology such as the the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System. The carrier will be home to 20 F/A-18 Super Hornets, 20 F-35 C Joint Strike Fighters, 6 EA-18G electronic warfare aircraft, 4 E-2D Advanced Hawkeye AWACS aircraft 10 helicopters and 10 drones.
